White Oleander

I don’t know if anyone else read this book, but so many people at work said I had to read it so I did. I never would have read it based on what it is supposed to be about.
It actually starts out interesting. The mom killing her boyfriend part and the first foster home the kid gets sent to is really interesting. Then she moves on to the next house, and the next, and then gets to the house where most of the book spends its time. This was when good things happen to the girl, but it was soooooo boring. I had to drudge to get through it. It starts to get interesting when she goes to the next house, but she finally turns 18 and gets out of the foster system. It has a dorky ending.
I don’t think I would recommend this book to anyone. Or just read the first part and stop. 
I also think I will not listen to people at work telling me what to read.
