This movie comes from Mexico and it contains a lot of sex and a lot of naked guys. Two seventeen year old boys (Tenoch and Julio) just graduated high school and plan on goofing off for the summer. Their girlfriends just left to prance around Europe while they stay back in Mexico. They soon become bored out of their minds when Tenoch meets his cousin’s wife and hits on her. They invite her on a road trip with them. On the spur of the moment she goes with them. There is much to be learned on this wild and wacky road trip out to a beach that the boys made up to convince her to come with them.
I enjoyed the movie. It was funny and sexy and crazy. Good times.

Another movie that I took nice little naps through but did try to watch the entire thing. I think the main problem in this movie was I fell asleep during important parts.
It is a Norwegian film where a 25-year-old women is recently married to a 40-year-old looking guy. They live off in the country to get away from the city. They are happy. Then the guy runs into an old pal that just got out of prison. He invites him over for dinner and he seems to just stay after that. There is some dark secret past between the two guys, but I fell asleep when they were about to talk about it. gah!
I think even if I did know about it, I wasn’t thrilled about the movie. All the characters seemed quite annoying.

This is a British film where I wish they would have had subtitles with all the thick British and Scottish accents in the movie. I could follow what was happening, but I didn’t catch what everyone was saying.
A girl wakes up on Christmas day to find her boyfriend has committed suicide in the kitchen. He has left her a note asking her to mail off his manuscript for him until it gets published and he also left her money for his funeral. Morvern didn’t seem too well adjusted before this all happens so she doesn’t deal with this very well either.
She doesn’t deal with him dying for a few days, then changes his name on the manuscript to hers before she mails it off. Then she empties his bank account that was for his funeral and takes off to Spain with her best friend that doesn’t know the boyfriend is even dead. She thinks he is just gone.
This movie starts off pretty cool and then just kind of rambles and ends. I wasn’t overly thrilled. There wasn’t much of a plot involved once you get past the set up.

Cecille and Joachim just got engaged. They are young and in love. She drops him off at work and he’s getting out of the car when he’s hit by another car driven by Marie. Marie is a mother of three and was arguing with her teenage daughter when she hit Joachim. Marie’s husband runs to the hospital to make sure his wife is alright but she wants to know if Joachim will be alright and his poor girlfriend who witnessed the accident. Niels, Marie’s husband who is a doctor, goes to check on Joachim and Cecille.
Lalalala Niels and Cecille start having an affair cuz that’s what you do in these cases.
You actually feel for all the characters and go back and forth thinking that maybe Niels and Cecille should be with one another, but then Niels has a family and his wife. Then Joachim is recovering from an awful accident, but he’s also being completely rude during the whole thing. I really liked the movie that made you care about all the characters and you weren’t sure which way you wanted it to end, even when it did.

Minoes is from the Netherlands. A cat drinks from a strange barrel and then it finds out it has turned into a human being. A reporter is on the verge of being fired since he is too shy to find out any stories to write about. Minoes (the cat lady) climbs into Tibbe’s (the reporter) window when it is raining (she’s been running along rooftops) the same day he has found her up a tree (a dog was chasing her). She tells him stories that the other cats know (cats know what we are saying!) and he tells his news stories that way.
This was geared towards kids, but was a very cute fun movie. The cats spoke at times, but it actually wasn’t disturbing. I didn’t expect it, but it wasn’t scary like those animals talking in commercials. It was much better done and very funny.

If you have ever seen Microcosmos, this movie is very similiar. If you haven’t seen Microcosmos, then you must watch it. It’s great.
This movie is Hungarian and you basically watch what happens in a village, but there is no dialogue and no narration. If people are talking, it is just out of earshot because that isn’t the point of the story. The crazy old man in the picture has the hiccups throughout the entire movie. At one point a pig is being walked down the road in front of the bench where he is sitting. The pig is snorting away like pigs do and this guy is hiccuping like he does. So it goes like this:
*snort* *hiccup* *snort* *hiccup*
Very funny.

Should I even review this movie? I walked out about 3/4 of the way through it. It wasn’t awful, but it wasn’t exciting enough to keep me awake. I slept through most of the movie. The thing is that I could follow what was happening even when I was sleeping 5 out of every 15 min. of the movie.
It’s a German film about two couples in their thirties. One has kids and one doesn’t because they are recently married. They are all bored with one another. The husband starts having an affair with the wife of the other couple and then they all find out about it. It’s not very exciting. It’s kinda amusing, but not laugh out loud funny.
