Forgetting Sarah Marshall
Directed: Nick Stoller
Starring: Jason Segel, Kristen Bell, Mila Kunis, Bill Hader, Paul Rudd
A guy gets dumped and runs off to Hawaii to get over feeling depressed, only to run into her and her new famous boyfriend.
Judd Apatow (40-Year-Old Virgin, Knocked Up, Superbad) produced the movie, and has the usual cast of oddball actors in secondary roles, but it is written solely by Jason Segel. He bares his soul and a whole lot more in the movie. You get to see full frontal male naughty bits at the very beginning and end of the movie. In the beginning, it is played for laughs and to also to make the entire break up scene with his girlfriend as awkward as possible for her and the audience. There is a line in the trailer where Sarah asks Peter if he would like to put some clothes on and he asks her if she would like to pick out his break up outfit. That line is not in the movie though.

Top Chef: Chicago
Tailgating
Here is a quick run down on the two challenges:
- Quickfire Challenge: Create a dish that pairs perfectly with beer.
- Elimination Challenge: Grilling at the tailgating party before the Chicago Bears football game.
I was very happy that this week, there was not a team competition. While I think the team competitions this season have been very creative and each person on the team has had a chance to make their own dish, it has allowed some mediocre people to hide on a winning team, like Nikki. Having everyone cook on their own really allows them to excel or fail all on their own.

I’m a sucky non-contributor to this movie watching group. However, I have been charged with picking the movie for April and since the month is about halfway over, I can now reveal that the movie you need to watch is:

The Big Lebowski
It’s a modern classic that teaches us that it’s important to have an open beer in the car with you, in case the joint you try to flick out the window ends up in your lap.
From Netflix:
The writing-directing Coen brothers serve up their signature brand of offbeat comedy here. L.A. slacker “The Dude” (Jeff Bridges) suffers the indignity of having the favorite rug in his house peed upon by two thugs. (They’ve mistaken him for a millionaire whose wife owes on some bad bets.) From there, the plot contorts more than a rubberized freak at a circus sideshow. But it’s all good fun.

Firewall
Directed: Richard Loncraine
Starring: Harrison Ford, Paul Bettany, Virginia Madsen, Alan Arkin, Beverley Breuer
A guy’s family is kidnapped and the bank he is supposed to be protecting with his security job is who he is supposed to rob to save his family.
Harrison Ford looks stern while shouting at bad guys, being unconvincing as a security guy who knows things about technology and then becomes all badass to save his family. When he doesn’t have his stern face on, he looks bored. I know I was bored. None of it was believable. The only good thing was one of the bad guys was the cute cop in the New Amsterdam show, but beyond the eye candy, no good came of watching this movie.

Doctor Who
Channel: SCI
Time: 8:30/7:30C
Premieres: Fri, April 18
Starring: David Tennant, Catherine Tate
Trailer
Synopsis: Martha decided not to continue on with the Doctor since his love for Rose overshadowed any feelings he ever had for her. He should be hooking back up with the bride he saved at the beginning of last season.
My Take: I’ll miss Martha. I liked her a lot. I was not a big fan of the bride. I found her whiny. Maybe she is better now.
