CBS Fall Schedule

Category: News, TVvelveetahead @ 11:30 am

Already mentioned how CBS canceled Moonlight, but here is the full scoop on its shows for next season. They also canceled Shark, but I’m not overly sad about that one. I watched it, but it was starting to bore me. I won’t miss it.

Monday night is mostly staying the same with the comedies: Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, and Two and a Half Men. It will have one new comedy to finish out the comedy block called Worst Week about a couple’s problems leading up to their wedding. Anyone remember Big Day that sounded like it was about the same thing and didn’t last very long? The night finishes off with CSI: Miami.

The Unit isn’t moving to Friday, but Sunday night. On Tuesday, NCIS will be leading into new show The Mentalist starring Simon Baker as a detective with heightened sense of observation powers. I’m sorry, that sounds hilarious. Finishing out the night is Without a Trace, which has moved from its Thursday night spot to one where almost all CBS shows have gone to die since no one can compete with Law & Order: SVU on NBC. I don’t really mind since I’ve become bored of Without a Trace too. If it goes away, I won’t mind.

On Wednesday, CBS will have another hour of comedies with The New Adventures of Old Christine with new show, Project Gary, starring Jay Mohr as a recently divorced dad. The rest of the night ends with Criminal Minds and CSI: NY. Thursday will mostly be the same with Survivor and CSI. The spot that used to have Without a Trace will be another Jerry Bruckheimer show called Eleventh Hour about a science professor working for a government agency.

On Friday Ghost Whisperer and Numbers are still there, but what once used to have Moonlight is now filled with new show called The Ex List about a woman who is told by a psychic that she already met the man she will marry, so she goes back through her old boyfriends. I think I would have much rather have Moonlight there still.

Saturday is normal random crime show repeats. On Sunday, it will be the usual 60 Minutes, Amazing Race (yeah!), Cold Case and finishes with The Unit. I’m seeing that The Unit is going to die in this spot, but maybe it’ll move after doing horribly in that spot for a while. They seem to have faith in it since they renewed it.
