Synopsis: Two guys get sentenced to community service where they have to be big brother types to a couple of kids.

I did not have high hopes for the movie. I really wanted to like it since it has Paul Rudd in it, but didn’t think it looked very funny.  It was a lot funnier than I thought it was going to be. I think most of it could not be shown in trailers, because it was laughs that had to have a build up and weren’t just one-liners.

It is surprising that the movie isn’t a Judd Apatow movie, since it is similar to those movies in very many ways with a lot of the same actors and it seems like a lot of it was probably improvised since I’m used to seeing the actors in other movies with a lot of ad libbing is involved. It also had about half the cast of The State in it since it was directed by David Wain who was also in the show. That is my favorite sketch show, so I loved it!

The movie also had a very sweet tone to it, especially with the live action role playing that was involved. Also, there is an entire tie in with KISS that was hilarious and needs to be seen.

Rating: B+
