Sci Fi is changing its name to Scyfy this week. They want to make sure their brand name doesn’t get confused with the generic “science fiction” genre term. You think they would have done this along time ago when they first came up with the name. Now they have to deal with a really stupid spelling of it.

My Take: I have heard good things about this fun show and great chemistry from the leads.

Movies Opening July 1 & 3

The wide releases came out on Wednesday while the limited releases came out on Friday. Johnny Depp and Christian Bale appear to be the only thing worth seeing this week.

My Take: It has Johnny Depp and Christian Bale in it. Why wouldn’t I want to watch it?

RT Consensus: Michael Mann’s latest is a competent and technically impressive gangster flick with charismatic lead performances, but some may find the film lacks truly compelling drama.

Lisa’s Hootie Hoo Playlist

Lisa requested a playlist after Melissa got one. I just started to pick random songs that popped into my head or skimming through my music collection. I got a bit stuck with the industrial/electronic stuff I listened to in high school/college years, but there’s a variety of other random things in there too. I was trying to find things Lisa might not have heard of, but I know some of it, she might have and I wanted to put it in there anyway.
