MWG: Back to the Future
Sharon had September’s pick for the Movie Watching Group (MWG), but was so super busy, it was hard to pin down a movie pick from her until this month. Then I forgot to make a post about it for a week. oops! Maybe we’ll do better if Jim will pick his October movie before the end of this month. 😉 Anyway, Sharon chose Back to the Future.
Netflix Synopsis: In this classic sci-fi adventure from director Robert Zemeckis, eccentric inventor Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd) turns a DeLorean into a time machine that inadvertently sends his young friend, Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox), 30 years into the past. While stuck in the 1950s, Marty disrupts his parents’ destiny and risks throwing the time-space continuum completely out of whack. The only way back to 1985 now is to get mom and dad to pucker up.

Watch it and come back here to review it!
I have seen this movie about 2342308238742 times since it is Jer’s all-time favorite movie. It is the one that I would much rather watch over and over again compared to its two sequels. Jer can watch those many times too, but I usually try to ignore them.
I know with this movie, you need to suspend your disbelief with the time travel since no way would everything in your life still be the same, messing up so much stuff in the past, but it would be slightly better. I think it would go off in a completely different direction like in Butterfly Effect, but I know this was just a good ole family movie when it came out so we don’t need to worry our pretty little heads with things like that.
The movie is funny and cute. Doc Brown is awesome and everyone in the world now knows about the flux capacitor is necessary for time travel. If people would just create one, we would have time travel right now!
