True Blood
I Hate You, I Love You

This episodes doesn’t have any super big moments, it did have some entertaining small ones including Portia screaming at Bill, Sookie’s Gran talking to her and warning her about the witch, and of course, Eric and Sookie finally making out.

TV: Week of July 24

Category: TV,Upcomingvelveetahead @ 4:59 pm

I can’t pick either of the shows debuting this week as a pick of the week since the CBS show doesn’t really sound like a show and Entourage is finally ending its long run. I can’t believe it lasted so long.

Not Interested

Synopsis: It is wipe swap with celebrities and people with the same name.

My Take: They switch lives for a while and I’m not really seeing how this can carry on as a show. It would get really repetitive after a while.

Synopsis: Vincent is out of rehab and determined to stay clean, while also trying to get a script he wrote in rehab made into a movie.

My Take: I tried to like the show, but the characters are annoying and not funny. That’s a problem for a comedy.

True Blood: Naked Men Sandwiches

Category: Recaps,True Blood,TVvelveetahead @ 8:23 pm

True Blood
I’m Alive and on Fire

This episode had 100% more nakedness than the last one, which was an improvement, but poor Pam didn’t not luck out with the witches. Eric went from being really happy to really sad, Jason finally escaped his messed up situation and we learned that Bill likes to keep it in the family. Is he a Lannister?

True Blood
If You Love Me, Why Am I Dyin’?

Last year, I found some hilarious Pro/Con recaps of True Blood. Now, when I watch the show, I view them in the same way. I thought I’d try it out myself. So, let’s get on with what was good and what was bad about the latest episode.

TV: Week of July 3

Category: TV,Upcomingvelveetahead @ 4:08 pm

This week Torchwood jumps from BBC to Starz. While I find that very odd, I’m willing to go with it since I love the show. It has always done things unconventionally. After two normal seasons, the third season was a four-part miniseries where they killed off almost all of the cast. Now there are only two remaining original cast members that are heading over to the U.S.

Pick of the Week

Torchwood: Miracle Day

Torchwood: Miracle Day
Channel:
Starz
Time: 8/7c
Starring:
John Barrowman, Eve Myles, Mekhi Phifer, Bill Pullman, Lauren Ambrose, Alexa Havins, Arlene Tur, Kai Owen
Premieres: Friday, July 8
Trailer

Synopsis: One day everyone on Earth cannot die, which causes a whole set of new problems that no one is prepared to deal with so they call on the Torchwood team that is used to dealing with weird stuff.

My Take: I love this series. It is one of the reasons that I love British television. They seem to have a higher quality standard for shows that only cable channels in the U.S. can rival.
