True Blood: Gators Like Marshmallows

True Blood
I Hate You, I Love You

This episodes doesn’t have any super big moments, it did have some entertaining small ones including Portia screaming at Bill, Sookie’s Gran talking to her and warning her about the witch, and of course, Eric and Sookie finally making out.

CON: It is really no way to start an episode with Tommy and his white trash family.

PRO: He does kill them both so they don’t have to annoy us any longer.

PRO: The best answer to any question of what happened is, “Hooka you pissed off another vampire and then took a goddamn nap.” I love Lafayette.

PRO: Lafayette refers to Marnie as “witchie-poo”

CON: Crazy witch blathering about the spirit is there to protect them and blah blah blah. I guess she doesn’t notice that the spirit is probably pretty selfish in her revenge and doesn’t care about protecting anyone. She just wants to use someone to get what she wants.

PRO: First Lafayette says that vampires will eat you “like a pot pie” and then Lafayette, Tara and Jesus just leave Marnie in the woods. I really wished she would have said “Who will help me clean up all these candles?”

PRO: I’m not super sure about the entire Arlene and Terry storyline, but I do giggle a bit about the baby being evil so I’m going with it.

PRO: Godric!

CON: But he’s being his old evil self we never really got to know before and telling Eric to bite Sookie. Don’t be rude!

PRO: Eric has some sort of clapper device in his vampire cubby that makes the lights go on when he sits up.

PRO: Eric had a bad dream and now must cuddle with Sookie.

CON: Jessica is acting all weird around Hoyt. She feels guilty aboutĀ glamouringĀ him and, of course, he doesn’t remember so he’s confused. Bah!

PRO: We learn all about various incest laws from Portia! We also learn that she has done some serious research to sleep with Bill again. He must be impressive.

PRO: I love Bill glamoring Portia and making her scream when she sees him. Hilarious!

CON: Eric is all sad and crying blood.

PRO: More cuddling with Sookie. It’s very sweet but don’t they want to jump in the shower? I think they do.

PRO: Bill telling Pam, “Oh good, the world needs more beekeepers.” Bill is funny when he isn’t with Sookie.

CON: I’m with Pam on torturing the witch lady. She messed with Pam! That’s just not nice.

PRO: I like Pam yelling a lot at Bill and then ending her sentence with “your majesty.”

PRO: Jesus tells Lafayette a crazy goat killing story and he actually agrees to go to Mexico with him to meet his grandfather. That’s the kind of road trip you just want to make! They do need to do something besides hang out with Marnie so I approve of this detour.

CON: Why did Tara’s mail get sent to New Orleans so her girlfriend found out about her real name? Poor planning.

CON: Tommy shows up covered in blood asking Sam for help. Oh Tommy….

PRO: I forgot that Sookie can read minds! I liked that she used it on Holly to remind me. I’m glad it isn’t as abused as it was starting to be in the first season.

PRO: I found Hoyt and Jason’s conversations about how all bad things happen to Jason because of sex, pretty damn entertaining. They both were trying to think too much.

CON: Full moon is coming. That’s major uh-oh for Jason!

CON: Tara’s horrible mother married the Reverend after they had an affair. Bah!

PRO: When they were singing their goofy songs, I was asking where the sage was to cleansed the house and then they got the sage out!

PRO: We learn that you got to get the sage up in the corners. That’s where the evil hides.

PRO: Marnie talking to Sookie’s Gran.

CON: She tells Sookie to not give Eric her heart. Boo!

PRO: Then she starts telepathically telling Sookie to not listen to crazy witch lady. Go Gran! I also like that Marnie starts arguing with Gran saying she isn’t dangerous. Nah, she’s just clueless.

CON: Andy still having something out for Sam so he pulls him over in Tommy’s van with the dead bodies in it.

PRO: Tommy does something smart! He changes into an alligator that surprises Andy when he opens the back door.

CON: Marnie once again thinks she is being protected.

PRO: Undercover spy action leads to Bill kidnapping Marnie. Good!

PRO: Tara and Sookie talking are good. Sookie being happy for Tara is good.

CON: Eric coming out of his cubby when he is supposed to be hiding is bad!

PRO: Eric is still wearing Jason’s clothes.

CON: Why didn’t Sookie ever yell that he doesn’t have his memory when Tara is freaking out?

PRO: I loved Eric’s face when Tara rattled off all the bad things he had done.

CON: We learn that priests were vampires way back in the day. Doh!

PRO: Bill’s prison bunker has a living room area.

PRO: Bill can also glamor the witch and not have some crazy spell cast on him like everyone else.

PRO: Pulling up to Grandpa’s place, Jesus sees that his next aunt or uncle will be born soon when they see the pregnant lady doing laundry in the middle of the night.

PRO: Jesus Grandpa has been expecting him. I am guessing since he last left when he was 8.

CON: What is up with this hair?

CON: I guess they felt the need to get some werewolf business in this episode, but Alcide didn’t answer this door without his shirt on so this scene was unnecessary.

PRO: Only good part about the dumping Tommy’s parents in the lake was we learned about the 10 commandments. “Don’t kill shit and don’t fuck with your parents.”

PRO: I lied. We also learn that gators love marshmallows.

CON: Jason having sex dreams about Jessica because of the V blood. Don’t go there!

PRO: Jason feeling guilty about it so he imagines Hoyt being there watching it. Hilarious!

PRO: Jason dreaming that Hoyt is having sex with him. Too funny.

CON: Eric talking about snuffing out Sookie’s light. Corny!

PRO: Sookie calling him back to the house and then them making out.

PRO: Bill doing a Darth Vadar death grip on another Louisiana sheriff.

PRO: We learn that vampires are at Google and FOX news!

CON: Pam’s ear falls off. Ick!

CON: Pam getting so upset about her face that she lets it slip that Eric is hiding at Sookie’s house. Oh Pam!

What did you think of this episode? When I first remembered it, I thought it wasn’t that great of an episode, but as I went through it, I found out I had enjoyed more of it than I originally remembered. I do miss Russell though. He was highly entertaining. Do you think the shower scene will happen in the next episode? One can only hope!
