FOX Fall Schedule

Category: News, TVvelveetahead @ 10:07 am

FOX is another network not adding many new shows next season or holding off until midseason for them. FOX also has the added hardship of baseball messing up its fall lineup every year. They usually debut fall shows in late August while other networks wait until late September. They do this to get a jump on the competition and reel people into their shows before they lose them for a bit during the fall when baseball preempts everything.

CBS Fall Schedule

Category: News, TVvelveetahead @ 11:30 am

Already mentioned how CBS canceled Moonlight, but here is the full scoop on its shows for next season. They also canceled Shark, but I’m not overly sad about that one. I watched it, but it was starting to bore me. I won’t miss it.

CBS: Good & Bad News

Category: News, TVvelveetahead @ 8:13 pm

CBS finally announced that it canceled Moonlight. It didn’t like that it lost 13% of its audience from Ghost Whisperer, so it is gone. Even the crazy fan base that set up a blood drive to save the show didn’t work.

In better news, they did renew The New Adventures of Old Christine and How I Met Your Mother. More info on other shows after their official upfront tomorrow.

CW Fall Shows

Category: News, TVvelveetahead @ 8:06 pm

CW has turned into a network that I really don’t want to watch. They did renew three shows that I watch, Reaper, Smallville, Supernatural, but the rest of it and the new shows don’t sound very promising.

NBC Fall Schedule

Category: News, TVvelveetahead @ 10:03 am

NBC actually announced its upcoming schedule six weeks ago since they decided to be weird and avoid the upfronts where all the media shows up, even though I think they were at the upfronts yesterday so I guess they had two presentations? I don’t know.

Anyway, here are the officially canceled shows: 1 vs 100, Amnesia, Bionic Woman, Clash of the Choirs, Journeyman, Las Vegas, My Dad is Better Than Your Dad, Phenomenon, Quarterlife,  and The Singing Bee.

Official News for Returning Fall Shows

Category: News, TVvelveetahead @ 7:55 pm

It is official that Reaper is coming back next season. It only received a 13-episode order as a mid-season replacement, but it’s better than nothing.

CW & FOX Renwals & Cancelations

Category: News, TVvelveetahead @ 11:18 am

A week before the May upfronts, CW FOX has slipped some news on its shows. New Amsterdam has been canceled. It was a midseason replacement that had its 13 episode run cut to 7 before it aired, so FOX wasn’t showing a lot of faith with the series before it even made it to air. It did run all seven episodes before deciding not to renew. It’s ratings were solid, but apparently not good enough to continue.

Jericho Canceled Again

Category: News, TVvelveetahead @ 7:34 pm

jericho2.jpg

The show was canceled last season, but after ardent fans bombarded CBS with peanuts (a shout-out to the last episode), they brought it back. It was renewed just for seven episodes, but they had hoped the ratings would improve enough that it would come back for a third regular season. The ratings this season were worse than they were last season, so it couldn’t be saved a second time. The show did prepare for this to happen by shooting two last episodes–one that left a cliffhanger in case it did come back for a third season and another one that wraps things up a bit, but not completely. Sorry Jericho!

After Strike Updates

Category: News, TVvelveetahead @ 11:47 pm

Just last week it looked like Women’s Murder Club might not be canceled just yet. There was no news after the writer’s strike ended. Then the rumors about the set being torn down started. After that, they were told to stop since there might an additional three episodes if a new show runner is found. What happened to the old show runner? I don’t know! I liked Angie Harmon so I would like this show to continue. I wouldn’t mind if they lost crazy blonde lady who I still see as the killer on one of the 24 seasons.
