TV: Week of January 8

Pick of the Week

House of Lies is about a management consultant firm where the consultants have questionable morals in order to make the most money off their clients. I’m most looking forward to this show, even though critics seemed split on it. Some really like the black comedy and the outstanding cast of Don Cheadle and Kristen Bell. Others find it soulless. I really want to like it since I would love to find something worthy of Kristen Bell’s talent after Veronica Mars.

TV: Week of January 9

Category: TV,Upcomingvelveetahead @ 4:28 pm

I normally wouldn’t pick Californication as my pick of the week, but it’s the only show debuting this week that I’ve seen before. I’m a tad more excited for Episodes and Shameless, but since I haven’t seen them yet, I’ll have to wait and see.

Pick of the Week

Californication
Channel:
SHO
Time: 9/8c
Starring:
David Duchovny, Natascha McElhone, Pamela Adlon, Madeleine Martin, Evan Handler
Premieres: Sunday, January 9
Trailer

Synopsis: It finally comes out that Hank slept with Mia while she was underage so he gets to deal with all the consequences of that.

My Take: After a decent first season, it almost lost me during the second, but I stuck with it and it improved a bit towards the end of the third so here I am, still watching it.
